explore: new york city!

4-Day Itinerary: New York

Day 1: Arriving in Boston

Morning:

  • We flew into New York from San Antonio on an early flight and landed at 1:30 PM, ready for adventure!

Afternoon:

  • After checking into our hotel in Chelsea, we freshened up and grabbed coffee at Variety Coffee. Next, we walked over to Chelsea Market and had lunch at Very Fresh Noodles. We tried their lamb noodles special, and it was amazing! A quick stop for mini donuts gave us the energy to explore Little Island—such a cute park with great views and plenty of people watching.

Evening:

  • We strolled along the High Line before heading to Times Square. It was packed and very touristy (reminded me of the LA Walk of Fame), but still cool to see. Afterward, we grabbed a slice at 2BROS Pizza right across from our hotel before calling it a night.

Day 2: Brooklyn!

Morning:

  • We started the day with breakfast at The Smith and sat outside, enjoying the perfect weather. The food was delicious, and the people-watching was even better! After breakfast, we hopped on the subway to Brooklyn to visit Brooklyn Charm, where we customized our own bracelets—such a fun experience. While waiting for them to be ready, we chilled at Charlotte Patisserie and had the best coffee!

Afternoon:

  • Before walking the Brooklyn Bridge, we stopped by Dumbo/Brooklyn Bridge Park for lunch at High Tide. The local beer and lobster roll were incredible. After soaking in the views, we took the ferry to East 34th Street and Ubered back to our hotel.

Evening:

  • We freshened up and took the subway to the East Village, where we visited an anime shop and explored Washington Arch. There were art vendors everywhere, and people playing chess—it was such a cool vibe. We took some photos and then walked over to Cornelia Street! Dinner at Tacoma on Bleecker St. was delicious but on the pricey side. Afterward, we Ubered back, made a quick stop at Times Square for some shopping, and grabbed snacks and water at Target.

Day 3: Central Park & the Met!

Morning:

  • We started the day with coffee from Blue Bottle, which was just a short walk from our hotel, then headed to Broad Nosh Bagels near Central Park. The bagels were incredible and definitely worth the wait. We found a nice spot in Central Parkto sit, eat, and people-watch, reminiscing about all the movies filmed there. Afterward, we made our way to The Met—spent a couple of hours there, but it’s so huge we barely scratched the surface. I’ll definitely need to go back to see more!

Afternoon:

  • Starving after The Met, we headed to Ichiran Ramen. It’s a little pricey, but the food is amazing, and the individual booths make it a unique experience. Highly recommend!

Evening:

  • We stopped by the Nintendo Store before taking the subway to Baggu. As big fans of their bags, we couldn’t leave NYC without picking up a few new ones! I got the cloud carry-on bag in the checkered pattern, and my husband picked up a sports bag. After that, we headed back to Chelsea, grabbed snacks and water at Whole Foods, and had dinner at a nearby pub.

Day 4: Bye NYC

Morning:

  • We grabbed a quick breakfast (can’t remember the name of the spot) and then headed to Paper Coffee for their honey bear latte—such a cute place!

Afternoon:

  • With an afternoon flight, we left for the airport around 1 PM and had a smooth travel day, landing back home by 9:30 PM.

This trip was packed with amazing food, cool spots, and lots of walking. NYC definitely lived up to the hype!
